  • STEM Initiatives: Supporting STEM initiatives in Germany, the UK, and the United States to inspire the next generation of talent.

Asia

  • National University Students Intelligent Car Race in China: NXP supported this prestigious competition with over 2,945 teams, 96 qualifying for the offline competition, and 15 advancing to the national finals.
  • BrighterMe Mentoring Program in China: Launched by NXP to support young women in STEM, this program connects students with NXP professionals to build skills and careers, piloting in 2024.
  • School-Enterprise Cooperation at NXP China Tianjin Factory: NXP continued practical training projects with about 20 students and 5 senior engineers, focusing on NXP MCU, MPU, and software. Courses are designed based on NXP chips, with experts assisting in course material development.
  • Campus Connect Program in India is a dedicated initiative for fostering collaboration between academia and industry, especially in the semiconductor, electronics, and embedded sectors. By engaging students and faculty through targeted technical webinars, hackathons, and proof-of-concept projects, the program not only provides valuable learning opportunities but also helps bridge the skills gap between university training and industry needs. This program is more than just an educational initiative; it’s a strategic effort to shape the future workforce by equipping students with critical skills, insights, and firsthand experience in tackling real-world problems. It not only enhances students’ technical expertise but also inspires and empowers them to be confident, job-ready professionals who can make meaningful contributions to the technology industry.
  • NXP Malaysia collaboration initiative selected local Universities, aims to foster engineering excellence and bridge academia with industry through joint research, practical semiconductor courses, and a strong focus on hands-on learning. This initiative equips students and educators with industry-standard tools in university labs and offers courses led by NXP subject matter experts. Highlights included the installation of a Digital Test machine at University Malaya (UM) and wire bonding equipment at University Putra Malaysia (UPM), which support hands-on learning experiences that link theory with practical skills essential in the semiconductor industry. Through the launch of the Fundamental Digital Test Course at UM and the Wire Bonding Workshop at UPM, students are gaining valuable technical skills and insights, enhancing both their career pathways and Malaysia’s semiconductor capabilities.
  • Kiss Science Program in Taiwan: NXP partnered with the government to connect high school students with industries through factory tours and site visits. NXP also sponsors the Meichu Hackathon, engaging over 200 students annually.
  • Asia Youth Community on Facebook: NXP created a Facebook group for engineering students from Thailand, Malaysia, and Taiwan, reaching over 2,000 students and 15-20 universities for long-term engagement.

EMEA

  • Virtual "EMEA Campus Engage, Grow with NXP": A virtual event for university students and graduates from tier-one universities in the EMEA region. This initiative gives students and graduates the chance to learn more about NXP's breakthrough innovations, our culture, our values, and our career opportunities. Similar sessions in China, the UK, and the US have reached 20,000 students and graduates.
  • NXP Summer Schools: Hosted in Italy, the Netherlands, the UK, and Romania.
  • EU Collaborations: Engaging part-time professors and collaborating with EU institutions like the European Skills Alliance to develop future teaching programs for the European semiconductor industry.

Global

  • AIoT Application Demo Lab: Welcomed over 120 students and teachers, showcasing NXP technologies and internships.
  • University Partnerships: Establishing teaching labs, lectures, and conferences.
