The purpose of the design is to replace the existing mechanical switches, used for vent positions, blower speed and temperature control, with interactive LCD based system for longevity and robustness of the system. The system can serve the events from capacitive touchpad interface (controlled through NXP’s Proximity Capacitive Touch Sensor Controller PT60), IR Remote control (provided for the ease of rear-seat passengers) or micro-switches.
